It's time to start banging your head folks, because YOB are going to rock your world. This is more metal that shows many bands are still stuck in the seventies, but it works well for them. Load up those bongs and get lost within the tunes. Doom and roll is getting bigger by the moment. With bands like Penance, Goatsnake and High on Fire rocking heads everywhere, this is a genre here to stay. Now let's view the ingredients: The riffs are think and meaty, I'll take that order well done. The bass and drums add to the psychedelic feel, just imagine a caveman on acid and you get the idea. Vocals alternate between a mad howl and a rough growl, very well coming from some type of werewolf. At first glance this album seems a little short. Yet with only three songs this comes close to fifty minutes of metal.
Did I mention this is metal? If you got the idea at first of flowers and that other bullshit, get rid of it now. Yes they very well dropped quite a few hits of acid, but the trip was not a nice one. Listening to this you can imagine huge green monsters running after you with a chainsaw, while screaming all they want is a hug. Well fucker, go give that monster a big ol' hug, just don't say I didn't warn you.
