Imagine "Dueling Banjos" done with lawnmowers, inside of a piano. Or something like that. This is ambient, down-tuned tar seeping out of the speakers and straight to your large intestine. Turned up loud enough, Behemoth makes everything in the room shake and will probably dislodge major organs eventually. It is occasionally difficult to differentiate between the CD and the throaty growl of motorcycles passing by my window. Interjections of a creepy funhouse piano serve both to initially startle the listener out of a stupor and to provide a chink in this stone monolith of sound. This is chewy, chewy stuff. It's like a big phenobarbital suppository.
I must quote a bit of Julian Cope's review of this band because I can't express it any better: "...clings to your torso like a butter knife spreading Philly Lite first on a piece of toast, then on the bread board, then across the counter over the fridge and up the walls into adjacent rooms."
When a container of gas is opened to the surrounding area, it expands to fill all space equally-- this is sunnO))), expanding from your speakers.
