Watch the pentagram swing back and forth, back and forth.... Count back from ten to one... You are.... ASLEEP! At least if you are listening to Cyber Death by French Bore Metallers Hypnosis. Claiming to play a "modern" and "hybrid" style of death metal complete with techno nonsense, female vocals and unnecessary electronic blips Hypnosis have successfully made the musical equivalent of NyQuil: it'll put you to sleep but when you come to you are still sick, and in this case, you will probably have this shitty death metal cd on in the background.

Let me just say that I am all for fusing metal with other types of music, The Berzerker masterfully combine gabber type dance music with grind, Dodheimsgard created a masterpiece with 666 International but the difference is they used the music in a way that complemented the metal elements present. In short, the songs made sense and still work as heavy metal songs. On Cyber Death there are boring metal parts with seemingly random (and lame) IDM beats thrown in, often times with awful clean female vocals. On top of all that Hypnosis is French, and well, fuck France.

So, there is no need for anyone to purchase this album as I can't imagine it would appeal to anyone, even if you like gay melodic "death metal" or flower metal bullshit, this album is just plain bad. Avoid.
