I am thrilled to be reviewing Hearse's second release, Armageddon, Mon Amour. These Swedes are no amateurs. They have already released a debut, and have since released a 3rd album after Armageddon came out.I was immediately impressed with their melodic elements - which every metal fan has come to expect out of a Swedish band - and loved the vocals, courtesy of the original Arch Enemy vocalist Johan Liiva. It is not like I do not admire Angela (Arch Enemy) and her overrated vocals, I just really love Johan's voice. Along with the Amott brothers and their amazing riffage, Johan is what made Burning Bridges one of the most memorable Swedish metal albums of all time.
Getting back to Hearse, these boys lay down incredible solos, hammering drums, and influential vocals making Hearse stand out, and frankly I thoroughly enjoyed this entire release. Fans of melodic, hard-hitting Swedish Metal will absolutely love Armageddon, Mon Amour, and I encourage everyone to check them out.
