In the Brutal Metal world, there are few bands that have the ability to pull of extreme amounts of technicality - reinforced with amazing talent - to create an album that really grabs its audience's attention. Well, Fleshgrind is one of these bands with brutal balls.

Murder Without End is the 3rd release from this Chicago-based band, and I am happy they have followed along the path that Destined for Defilement took. These guys really know how to pound your ass with hatred-filled Death metal, and they remind me of acts like Decapitated, Severe Torture, Gorguts, and Macabre. They recently gained a gifted new member to their band: Derek Hoffman (Gorgasm), who fulfilled drumming duties on Murder Without End. With a guy like Derek on the job, there was not one doubt in my mind regarding the quality of this release. Fleshgrind incorporate a nice blend of melody in their breakdowns throughout each song, but this does not mask their vicious brutality in any way, shape, or form. I absolutely love Death Metal that can make you groove, on top of making you have the intense urge to kill someone; it is such a fucking pleasant feeling!

For all you Death Metal fanatics out there, pick up the latest offering from Fleshgrind, which you WILL enjoy to the fullest. They are a band that has been brutalizing the scene since the late 1990's, but has never fallen short of delivering happiness to all Metal kids and fans, much like Santa Claus... only better.
