Characterized by a lethargic inertness, oh, know that's comatose. Trust me, after your first spin of Comadose the blood will be flowing to all limber body parts. This six piece hardcore metal act straight out of New England features a heavy, groove oriented energetic mix, laced with powerful guitars. Vocals feature interplay of aggressive face kicking screams, coupled with a rap-oriented medium, Slipknot style. The music blends heavy riffs with harmonic distortions that keep each song unique. Witness the fusing of brutal hardcore with metal, and its done well, with the drummer laying down an array of fast paced beats. There are even melodic parts spaced throughout, as the guitarists trade riffage and textures. Check out "Pain for Pleasure," the final and best cut. Comadose are a good fit in today's ever growing scene of abrasive and hardcore metal units. The band's doing a few gigs locally in New Hampshire and no doubt would like to mesh into larger environs. This is a pit ready release, perfect for the underground scene.
