Great music! What else is there to say other than ever hear of Ripping Corpse? Nah, didnšt think so. This review concerns a sampler via Hammerheart with tracks from Monument of Death and previous associated works, the B-side "Severe Torture" will come at a future date-- so stay tuned disciples. Anyway, arising from the ashes of Emperor & Satyricon, these musicians execute arrangements that American bands simply are incapable of comprehending. There are tons of similar death metal acts but Tchort and company deliver a mix that inspires the masses. The formula is described as Norwegian death metal with brutal but polished edges. They utilize Scandinavian influence and intensity, which is coupled with razor wire riffage. Caustic vocals intensify the mockery, adding chilling elements, the technical proficiency is unparalleled.Blood Red Throne pushes the curtain of madness open with an ever-tight dual-guitar attack, nothing techno or avant-garde within, just blistering venomous chops. Lyrically no surprise here, just the usual carve up entrails feast. Blood Red Throne is an incredibly strong unit. Worship the blazing fires of "Monument of Death" and witness the "Ravenous War Machine" an unexpected plea for peace amongst the world's cyclical carnage.
Prepare for the new work Affiliated Suffering planned for European release first of the year, tour to follow with a great new band Impious, Mighty Behemoth says this is a must listen!
The significance of Blood Red Throne is their uniqueness of sound and mastery of sickness; they transform mere notes into a diabolic instrumentation for evil purpose. Fly With Demons-- what better way to travel?
