So the story goes like this: a band forms from the ashes of other bands and they name themselves Black Widows. They play shows, release some demos and 7 inches and then they find out that another band has the same name and owns the copyright. So they rename themselves Black Cross and continue on wowing the masses as they go. As they get bigger people want to hear what they did earlier in their existence and so they reissue all their old shit that no one knew existed because the band name is different.Usually with these CD's it's win or lose. Sometimes these albums sound so bad that you might as well rock out to your own farts because they sound identical. Not to say that it's anyone's fault, bands usually have a budget as slim as Paris Hilton when they first start up so, a good recording is a rarity. This CD is not like that at all. You can listen to these songs and actually hear what the instruments are playing, and if that isn't good enough the band kicks ass too.
Think of Black Flag, Rites of Spring, and Minor Threat then mix it with crazy leads like a modern day Converge record. Intense, complex and listenable, this album is high up on the sexiness charts (if you catch my drift).
