Another Breath is hardcore. Punk drumming and guitar, with slower chuggy-parts, screaming and gang style backup vocals. This, of course, is all packaged in short songs, so they won't lose the intensity. It's clear the band knows what they are doing, but unfortunately it feels like some more of the same. Like when your parents tell you that it all sounds the same, they may be right in this case. There is nothing stand out about Another Breath that sets them apart and makes me say that this is a great hardcore record.

Lyrically it's angry, which is obvious, but instead of the straight "I hate you" type rage (Embrace Today, Terror), it's more of a "stand up and you can do anything" positive message (Bane, Shai Hulud). So if you need a new CD to pick up your spirits and make you want to live again, this would be a good choice. If you want forward thinking music, a view of where the scene may go, this is not it.
