Demo length: 4 tracks at a total running length of 1:30

From the never-ending northern forestland of um... Alton, Illinois, lies a demon so ghastly, so evil, it is only rivaled by the likes of It from Abruptum (the troll who is too evil to have a human name). Through these winter demon woods of Nerglheimaforash floats the satanic Stinking Cloud with their first unholy demo, recorded in the dark basement of the bowels of Baelzeforgalhainasheimagosh! Among the ruthless chaos of this blasphemous creation from Hell sits 4 tracks, including two frightening, condensed re-workings of Darkthrone and SOD covers, so nightmarish, that Mictianofeshorshamorgothia shivers in his drawers! Even more chilling is the haunting wails that emanate through the speakers of a J.C. Penney Casio keyboard, and the raw sound of two pencils beating on a kitchen table as the marching beat for Lucifer's parade! HAIL, STINKING CLOUD! IN ALL OF ITS STINKING, TROO, NORWEGIAN GLORY!

I forgot to mention that Stinking Cloud plays black metal much in the vein of the classics such as Dark Throne and Burzum, except for the fact it's very, very awful. Anyways, this has to be on the top 5 list of the worst things that I've ever heard (this is right up there with Estrogenocide, Le Scrawl, Gronibard and anything Seth Putnam has ever worked on). Words cannot truly convey how bad this demo is. But at the same time, it's just very fun to listen to. Stinking Cloud isn't something that you would take seriously, because it's not meant to be. And if it is meant to be taken seriously, something is horribly, horribly, wrong.

Personally? I think it's awesome. It's so out there with the silliness factor that I can't help but give it my undivided attention and utmost respect. To make this a succinct and short review (too late), Stinking Cloud is so horrible that they're great. This is the perfect satire of "true Norwegian black metal". I enjoy listening to this and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because I have a bizarre fetish for over-the-top crappy music, the same way people obsess over B-list horror and John Waters films. As much as I like it for these reasons, though, I have to be fair and give this a one skull-score, because in all reality and the eyes of a sane reviewer, this is total crap.

But for being total crap, it's a great time killer for a minute and thirty seconds of your time.
