    Ruttolapset are a Finnish Black/Death Metal band with great potential - lacking in nothing but good production, they offer you a good mix of influences, a lot of energy, and pure hatred. The quality of musicianship is exceptional, especially for a demo, making this a very interesting listen. It is very refreshing to hear something that surprises the listener at every turn, mixing vast amounts of influences well. Vocally is it a mix of death growls, black metal screams and even some clear parts. This guy obviously has abused his vocal chords until they made the necessary sounds for quite some time now. The riffs are well-structured and powerful, mixing well with the overall picture. Even the keys are put into the perfect places, adding more depth yet never sticking out like those in other bands tend to do. My one other complaint would have to be the drumming, which is barely decipherable and doesn't seem to be doing much. Maybe this guy is holding back, but he definitely has room for improvement. Overall this demo is very impressive, and when the full length comes out they best send it my way.
