Blind's Review:
Hm...In conclusion, I do like lists.
- Production is shoddy. Some songs are louder than others. I don't like having to adjust my volume when certain songs come on.
- The vocalist sounds like a cross between The Offspring's vocalist and Rob Zombie. Well, in the more metal songs he does. In the ballad-like track (song 5), he sounds more like the guy from that short-lived rock band UPO.
- Gee, I sure do like these lists, don't I?!?
- A lot of this sounds very industrial-especially the drums. Other parts sound very nu-metal-ish, and still others are comparable to Obsolete-era Fear Factory.
- Okay... this sounds like it's decent, but it's not terribly inspired. Like an album you put on for the background noise at a party, but not one from a band you'd go to see. It's not bad by any means; it's just not very exciting.
No, wait... Mindscape has a decent shot at becoming big. First of all, they need to do something about their production. Second, they really need to pick a style. Be industrial, or metal, or industrial metal-but don't try to be all three. Third, they need to clean up their web site. I think they have it designed so if you scroll over certain things they open, as I definitely didn't click email addresses for the band, yet Outlook Express kept opening. Fourth, I do like lists.
Check out this mp3. It's good stuff.
