Lugubrious's Review:
Who would have known Norway has metal other then Black Metal. The oddest thing is these guys are obviously more influenced by what's going on across the pond right now than what their local scene has offered them. This is not a bad thing at all, unless of course you are one of those people *cough* idiots *cough* who think Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, and Pantera are not metal. Manifest is a band that would fit right in with some of the bands we have popping up in the states right now, but don't think this is anything influenced by the nu-metal scene from the last century. The solo in "Dead End Spiral" and the very technical riffs are sure to point that out. The recording is very professional, especially for a demo. There is no way to pigeonhole this album, it is simply metal with a vast amount of influences. Manifest is what happens when European Metal is influenced by American Metal's better parts - be prepared for the next big thing.
