  • Lugubrious's Review:
Lisa the Wolf should change her name to Lisa the Screeching Weasel. Even Dani Filth fanatics could not stomach this, and we all know that's saying a lot. She sincerely thinks she is a wolf, announcing on the second track "I am the wolf, and I think the wolf's thoughts." Sure lady, put down those Wiccan books for a minute, yes they are interesting but talk about taking things way too far. This is the type of lady whose male friends walk around carrying staffs and speaking of oracles - if anything this is good for a laugh. What we have here is some boring guitar riffs, keys, and atrocious vocals. When she just sings it's not that bad, but she should stick to just that and no screaming. Hate to hear this girl in bed, talk about a moment killer. Maybe you could call this a sad attempt at being black metal, but it's a mid-paced tempo album so don't expect anything heavy.

For a band featuring the ex-drummer of Morbid Angel, Nocturnus, Incubus (the metal Incubus kiddies don't get too excited), and Acheron, one would expect something better then this. Well don't, for the drums are not even a focus point on this album in the least. He would have been better off never putting his name in these credits, but everyone makes mistakes. Do not get this demo folks, or check out the MP3's, unless of course you want a serious headache. What is even more amazing Eric Rutan recorded this. Time to go laugh some more . . .
