  • Sabbath's Review:
The moment I received this demo, I thought perhaps it might be tasteful and interesting (due to the fact that there is a primary female vocalist, with backing male vocals and keyboards). Well, I was right, kinda...

Note: Their bio is simply hilarious. I always give foreigners credit when they try to speak English, and never make fun of them (except some of my closer friends); however, I have to put in some of their lines (if only for my own enjoyment):

    1. "The music style is based on heavy metal structure influenced by techno death" (what the hell is "techno death"? I know Techno Metal, so I guess this is referring to Techno Death Metal...somehow, those two genres just don't seem to fit anywhere near each other in the Metal puzzle...at least for me).
    2. "The result is an incredible mixture between melody and hard stuff" (all I can say is hahahahaha...however, a good attempt).

Okay, enough discouragement...the music itself is ok. I tend to be a fan of melody (with emotion you can feel penetrating you...which you can get from extremely good composition and execution) and keyboards seem to make this feeling complete; however, I wasn't feeling it with Inside. (The keyboards on I Can't Scream reminded me of the shitty xylophone I used to beat on when I was like 5.) Jessica has an astonishing voice (almost like she was meant for opera, but she used her gift to dip into the metal world), but also like she is a bad imitator of Joacim Cans (Hammerfall). The male vocals sound a bit too Black Metal-ish/harsh for the melodious patterns within the music; they just don't seem to fit entirely well. Inside seem to be "all over the place," and they need to really focus more on conquering a few (if not one) genres, and not every single genre Metal offers on one demo-and then trying to make that odd hybrid progressive.

With my ADD it is hard for me to follow anything, but this band sounded like a jumbled mess at times (although each member does has some inkling of talent). Check them out and decide for yourself!
