Behemoth's Review:
Ikuinen Kaamos, a Finnish duet formed in 1997, directly staring at the world bringing its charge of hate and destruction. New demo is out, So Rose the Dreadful Ghost, offering a black metal slant uniting grimness with melancholic atmospherics, in three short steps. This two-piece unit features Jarno Ruuskanen on bass guitar and voices, Kari Hyvärinen on drums.

The natural drum sound, varied skilful guitar play, coupled with aggressive vocals makes this a decent release. The Fins are known as a depressed lot, certainly giving way to good ideas for down tuned masterpieces of doom. These are powerful and yet melancholic songs of black metal, a style of music mixed with darkness and hate.

The CD has its fast moments in the opener "On The Wings Of Your Hatred"; it is mostly dominated by mid-tempo and slow passages that drag the listener into darkness and despair. The song "Sleep" starts with a fast beat and then ventures into melodic parts. Overall, a relevant mix of doom and black metal melancholic touch.

This band certainly has room for improvement, take the sound for instance; with better production songs will be more efficiently delivered, allowing instrumentation to sound more intense. Behind the cheap production we hear an ability to make great music
