Behemoth's Review:
Horricane formed in 2002 via the Estonian metal scene and quickly defined their unique Heavy sound, so get your death metal hammer out and pound away. The band entered the studio to record their first demo in 2004, after a few brief tours including a stint with Vader. The band's style basically presents massive walls of guitars mixed with an appropriate mix of dark laden keyboards. They have a loyal local fan base as well in the neighboring Baltic States. The band goes by the pseudonyms Erx, Pchn, Anz, Vx, Dzdz, Mdx, Decease czy [o3] in case you are interested.Horricane deliver a pure death metal record in the vein of great bands like Entombed and Dismember. However, they embellish their sound with atmospheric influences delivering dark metal structures. The immensely heavy guitars are crushing and the tracks are iron clad, featuring mid-tempo to grinding passages. The band delivers a thick dark metal grooved based sound, for example check out "Coup De Grace" for evidence of massive guitar grooves or the heavier than thou epilogue "Demon State."
Horricane produce a rather unique sound through this album which presents an inspiring degree of talent. Overall, the band delivers a down tuned brutal and dynamically structured death metal demo - the band obviously has potential!
