Musashi's Review:
I probably hate the French more than I hate the Canadians. Regardless, I still have to give this demo a great review. This is an awesome demo. The music is hard and the production is great. I did not think that there were people in France with balls so big that they could put together a real metal band.

In typical French fashion, eths does not cater to Americans. The eths press kit they sent me is entirely in French as is their website. I do not understand one word of it. Nonetheless, the music is awesome. I hope they are not a bunch of anti-semite, nazi skinheads. Just my luck, I would end up getting all excited about a French band that turns out to be a bunch of Taliban supporters or something. Seriously, I get a good feeling from eths. I am sure they are a normal bunch of devil worshipping kids-next-door.

The music has diverse influences. I hear elements of Lamb Of God, Pantera, Primus, Slipknot and Meshuggah. The guitars are not as heavy as I might like, but the riffs are good and the songs are well crafted. A lot of the most exciting parts in the music are the fast syncopated accents supplied by the drums. Guillaume is an excellent drummer and uses both feet to pedal the music forward. Candice is an outstanding female vocalist. She manages to grunt, growl and scream with sincerity. Her more mellow vocal parts contrast well with her screams and showcase her dynamic range.

I have nothing but praise for this band. I hope that good things come their way. I now know one word in French, "eths." It means metal.
