Kefka X's Review:
Sterling natives Drugs of Faith will be releasing a 7" EP on the well-known Baltimore-based underground label, Reptilian Records, and will also be putting out a split 7" with the band Anodyne on Kluggeschissen Records. Look for these wicked good releases on vinyl sometime in the beginning of 2005. In the meantime, get a chance to listen to their 2004 2-song promo, which consists of two tracks that will be released on each 7". Fans of crust, punk, hardcore, powerviolence and grind will enjoy these Drugs greatly. The promo is short, sweet, and to the point. Both songs are fast, aggressive, and pummeling, alternating between frenzied blasts and old school hardcore breakdowns. The music holds a unique feel to it while making nods to the oldies, such as Napalm Death (OLD), S.O.B. and D.R.I.Elitist fans of music with excellent production and blistering technicality may be turned off, but if you're searching for good, fun and wholesome music with energy and spirit, look no further. Get ready for an adrenaline rush of Drugs!!! . . . of Faith!
If you're ever on the East Coast, be sure to check out the live show while you're at it, too.
