  • Sabbath's Review:
Death du Jour has emerged from lake-surrounded Finland with a fast and extremely powerful entrance into the Metal world. This 4-song demo holds the seeds of a very promising future for these guys!

Let's keep it short and sweet here. They play Death Metal. Nothing too overly exciting, yet it is a well-done demo. I was extra fond of their vocals, done in such a way that they add a special ambience and flavor to this band. Death du Jour reminded me a lot of Morbid Angel and Deicide, and other bands that followed the path these predecessors carved out for them. At times this demo can be a bit messy, but for the most part the sound is pretty damn good! I can see these fellows doing very well with a full studio debut on a nice, hefty budget. It would allow their level of technicality to shine through much clearer, and they do have a nice level of technicality.

Death du Jour has cooked up a platter of fun-loving Death Metal here with Gamashinoch. Although they did nothing spectacular or too overwhelmingly incredible, this demo serves us our first course of their Death Metal entrée. Check them out if you have the energy, and watch out for a debut full-length soon!
