Another fine find from the New England Metal and Hardcore Show (still recovering!). Car Bomb hail from New York and one can only guess how they came up with the idea for the bands name? Well, here's the three song debut demo which has just seen the light of day, performed and mixed in Lindenhurst. The creative force within produces a raw, polished, extreme metal sound, the way it was meant to be. This release surely will appeal to crossover fans who like diverse metal. The demo opens with the very short "Rid" which goes right for the jugular and segues into "His Eyes," which has a Konkhra vibe to it. The short succinct time changes are phenomenal, zero to sixty in no time flat, sort of reminiscent to that Armenian band no one cares about. "Solid Grey" follows, allowing the band to slightly spread its wings with a degree of chorusing and spoken word overdubs. The production is superb, demonstrating the band's precise playing and over the top song structures.

Interesting sidebar, the band is using the Cadillac moniker as their logo, could it be long before the GM suits come a calling? Overall, this is pretty good stuff, as the band achieves a reasonable balance of extremity. I'm quite sure the live show would be killer. Keep an eye on this band, the potential is there as they stretch the metal boundary.

Oh and don't forget to traverse the dark path.
