Sabbath's Review:
First of all, I just want to express how proud I am of these boys for taking the plunge, and recording a professional demo. And on top of my enthusiasm, Archaeon decided to work with the likes of Kip Stork of Avalon Studios, who also recorded the new Deeds of Flesh album. He also has worked with bands such as The Pathetics, Alter Nation, and Ragg.

I have reviewed a few of Archaeon's shows, and have listened to their new demo many times, and I am still 100% sure that these guys will fly over the demo hurdle, and get signed soon. Even though I have previously described what they sound like, I will say that they are heavier than what comes to mind when you think of 'metalcore.' They incorporate many elements into their musical style, which makes it hard to place Archaeon into the 'metalcore' category, definitively. They are heavy, melodic, forceful, and determined, and their breakdowns will make fans of any genre of Metal bang their heads simultaneously.

They create the melody that made At the Gates unstoppable, the passion that makes bands like Katatonia and Therion so utterly amazing, and the heaviness that makes Unearth a force to be reckoned with... Their name is Archaeon, and they satisfy an identifiable hunger for something innovative. Everyone should be watching and waiting for these guys to make their breakthrough into the Metal mainstream.
