The main reason I went to this show was for Nile, being a fan of them as soon as I heard their Catacombs debut in 98. I used to be a hard-core Cradle of Filth fan then, but then I discovered Emperor and they kinda fizzled out.

Not being too familiar with God Forbid, they really impressed me with brutal-as-hell vocals and harmonized solos. They got the pit going and they earned a new fan in me.

When Nile hit the stage, I flipped out because they were my favorite band to see live, and this night was no exception. Opening up with "Black Seeds of Vengence" just totally consumed me. I wish their set could have been longer, but they played up to my expectations. My only complaint is that they didn't play "Ramses, Bringer of War".

Next, for some reason, was VOD. I pulled a classic Metallica move and had my back to them the whole show with my middle finger in the air between songs. They were ok for what they were, but there was no reason for them to be on this bill, especially over Nile.

Cradle blew me away with very very loud guitars. Paul was always my fav guitarist that they had, and it was great to see him live. Playing all my favorite songs, they did extremely well as the headlining act, and they, along with Nile and Morbid Angel, bring extreme metal to the masses.
