Maybe their best (and I mean it!!!) effort to date! I've listened all their albums, as I'm 31 years old now and i think that Code Red is a BIG lesson to some black or so-called thrash metal bands of nowadays. Sodom are back... Cach them if you can (but you can't...).

I haven't been a fan of Sodom for too long now, ever since about late November (what can I say, I'm just getting into underground metal) when I got Tapping the Vein, which is now one of my favorite metal albums ever. I got Code Red about a month ago, and I'll be damned if this isn't a kickass thrash album! The title track alone is enough to give me a cramp in my neck from headbanging too much!I think Tom Angelripper's singing is some of the sickest thrash vox I've ever heard, and his crunching bass on "Tombstone" just makes me wanna get up and air guitar like fucking crazy. "The Vice of Killing," "Book Burning," and the closer, "Addicted to Abstinence," are fast as shit and will surely make you "wreck your neck." "What Hell Can Create," "Spiritual Demise," "Warlike Conspiracy," and "Visual Buggery" have killer riffs that sound like chainsaws ready to slice open my stomach. In other words, this album should come with a label that says: "Warning: Brain may bleed due to excessive headbanging."

Awww yeah...another old school band returning to its roots... I was a fan of Sodom on Persecution Mania and Agent Orange... but they lost me after that. This is a return to that time and I love it. It might not be the most inventive, but amidst the scene now it is a refreshing release. I consider this a mix between Persecution Mania's speed and Agent Orange's riffing... any fan of old school thrash should love this release.
