This disc is EXCELLENT! People put way too much stock in what has been done on past albums. Personally I don't want Slayer to release South of Heaven or Seasons in the Abyss over and over again with a different cover. I want something new, and compared to their last few albums, this one destroys! GOD HATES US ALL is a must have for anyone that wants something that was created on rocket fuel. How anyone can complain about this album compared to most of the shit that is being released out there is beyond me. I have listened to this disc for months since purchasing it, and this album has re-fueled my fire for SLAYER, causing me to pull out all the old discs and listen to them over and over AGAIN!

There's nothing more for me to say
There's nothing more for you to say
There's nothing more for us to say
    I fucking hate you anyway

It makes all the nu-metal bands look like monkeys fucking footballs. A killer album from start to end. It's not as raw as older Slayer, but the quality of sound gives clarity.

One of Slayer's weak moments was the song "Temptation" off their Seasons in the Abyss album. It wasn't a bad song, but compared to the rest of the album, it came off as a bit lacking. Well, consider God Hates Us All to be an album-length version of that song. A band that used to give 110 percent is now only giving about 80, which is still a passing grade, but is nevertheless disappointing considering how many classics Slayer is responsible for.

I don't want to give the impression that this is a bad album; it's a decent effort, but it seems a bit lacking when you realize that Slayer is capable of much more than this. Songs such as "Disciple," "God Send Death" and "Warzone" are all pretty good tunes, but the weaker moments, such as "Seven Faces" and "Deviance" really feel uninspired. Considering that thrash metal bands like Sodom and Destruction are still releasing albums that are just as powerful as their 80s efforts, it's sad that Slayer doesnąt have more to offer.

As if it wasn't bad enough that Slayer's music is starting to deteriorate, the lyrics on this album are for the most part pretty lame. While Slayer have had their share of juvenile lyrics, it's sad to see the band that penned "Dead Skin Mask" and "Angel of Death" now just throwing countless obscenities into their songs instead of actually writing something interesting. Slipknot fans may be impressed with the generic lyrics about beating people up, but I'm not.

Compared to your random Ozzfest or Tattoo the Earth band, Slayer is still way ahead of the game. If you're not expecting another South of Heaven, you will probably find this album reasonably enjoyable... But compared to underground bands, it's clear that Slayer has been left behind by their numerous disciples. Despite the fact that this is a solid effort, Slayer's new album will most likely be viewed as something to pass the time while waiting for the new Vader or Nile album. And considering this band's history, that is very sad indeed.

God Hates Us All? Then SLAYER must REALLY hate their fans. What is this crap? When I think of SLAYER, I think of Reign..., Hell Awaits, evil, thrash, speed, anger, etc., NOT A WANNABE SLIPKNOT VOMIT FEST. Don't waste your hard earned-money on this thing. It ain't SLAYER, it's SHITTER !

I don't want to get longwinded with it, as I feel that others have covered the album pretty well. I just found that there were a few things that I couldn't get past:
    1. That occasional "nu-metal" - yeah, it's not all over the place and that's cool, but sometimes it really rears its head and that really takes you out of it. It feels extra bad because this is Slayer!
    2. The tunes: after they rip out of the gates like Reign or Divine on a few songs, it's a total disappointment to slow things down. Now maybe this is a "mix of Reign... and South..." or whatever you want to call it, but I honestly would take one or the other. They're trying to please everybody from headbanging maniacs to riff gurus to the kids, and it shows. It's like they're trying hard to keep the old Slayer, but they can't repress the new "influenced by other shit" Slayer. Probably because the record company makes them do it.
    3. Necessity. Now, I'm gonna get blasted for this, but this isn't a necessary record. I've heard it done before by the same band, and plenty better. Yeah, it's Slayer and you gotta have everything right? Well, not me. I hocked it for 11 bucks and bought myself the friggin' upcoming Emperor album.

So really, is this a bad album? Not at all. In fact, it's quite enjoyable for the most part, and it's better than the rest of the mainstream shit. It seems the days of necessary Slayer albums have passed. Oh well, I guess we all expected it was coming after that last turd.

Rock on, it's not so bad, but it hurts when you think Slayer's gonna come back and just fuck you into the ground and they just fuck you in the ass.

This album stinks, Slayer hasn't make a good album since Divine Intervention. I hate hearing the slow boring riffs and songs that Slayer tries to slide in. Slayer sounds horrible using slow tunes. And Araya's voice is horrible now, what's with the nasty distorted vocals and corny lyrics? I'm a fan of the old Slayer and I respect them as the founding fathers of death, but, Slayer-- what happened?
