Picture your worst nightmare. Now picture the sountrack for that nightmare. That soundtrack would be every song on Skinless' Foreshadowing our Demise. I "caught wind" of Skinless thru their listings on several metalfest shows, yet I had never heard their music. When I finally heard it, I could sense an immediate surge in testosterone levels. The music from this band makes me want to obliterate everything in sight... just what an excellent death metal record is supposed to do. Noah Carpenter's thick downtuned riffs birth grooves that make your hair stand on end. The way things slow down and grind reminds you of the meaning of life. Every instrument stands out on this recording, and the vocals are superb. This is a relentless beatdown from beginning to end... and a very enjoyable one at that.
