All I can say is that this album smokes... It's a lot more refined than Panzer Division Marduk, which some people are against, but when you hear the musicianship, there is no room for complaint. The amazing instrumentals "Ars Moriendi" and "Pompa Funebris 1660" show the top-notch talent of the band, and the rest of the album scortches. The changes between the instrumentals and the balls to the wall burners make it a very engulfing album to listen to front to back (several times). For me the album highlight is the epic title track. Anyone interested in Marduk, or anyone looking to get into it hear this: You CANNOT go wrong with this album!

"Death" has finally arrived with La Grande Danse Macabre, this is one of Marduk's best albums, and a close second to Panzer Division Marduk. Get this album if you like any other Marduk albums... Then buy the shirt! hehe
