Jag Panzer are terribly under-rated, in my opinion. This is a band that released one of the most important power metal albums of all-time, AMPLE DESTRUCTION. They are also some of the nicest dudes I've ever met.Having said that, this album could've been much better. "Take to the Sky" is just killer, and Chris Broderick is a master 7-string player. (Sorry, kids, Korn isn't!) It's his playing that saves the album, really.
They also have a bad habit of not editing themselves too well in spots. Some of the songs hang on for 2 minutes longer than they should. "Frozen in Fear" is one of those songs; it just rambles...
However, I still must stress that Jag Panzer are an incredible metal band and worthy of anyone's attention. Just don't start with this album...start with AGE OF MASTERY or better yet AMPLE DESTRUCTION (good luck trying to find it; it's tough!)
