This is one big fucking step beyond Hell Is Here, my metal constituency! The drums are super solid and in your face like a brick, the guitars are murderously melodic, and this is death metal for the new millennium! Deathrace King will knotch you up on the side as 10 points as it mows you down with 11 brutal tracks, and drags you across the tarmac with skillful musicianship and the animalistic growls of Johan Lindstrande! If you like your death metal tuned for high performance, then race on down to your local record shop and snatch this CD quickly! You will not be disappointed!

Swedish metal rules. Just think of all the godly bands that come from this Scandinavian country- At the Gates, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Hypocrisy, Arch Enemy, Opeth- the list goes on and on. But be sure to add The Crown's name to that list of glory. While Hell is Here lacked the vicious production that the songs cried out for, Deathrace King delivers on all levels. The Crown kills on songs like "Deathexplosion," "Back From the Dead," and "Total Satan." They're one of the most aggressive bands when they put the hammer down as on "Devil Gate Rider," but they also can craft good mid-paced headbanging fare as on "Dead Man's Song." Clearly, one of the best albums that will come out this year.
