Here it is, Burnt by the Sun's 1st full length album. This album grew on me kind of like Cryptopsy's and Then You'll Beg did. Nothing really moving at first, but a few weeks later it starts to tear my mind apart. The highlights of the album to me, are the guitar (great tone, hardcore groove, and awesome, technical playing), Mike's vocal attack which is just fucking crazy, the songwriting, and how tight they work together as a whole unit. The rhythm section (composed of ex-Ripping Corpse members) complement each other perfectly and lay down a completely solid foundation for the rest of the band. The music is very heavy but not death, and not even 100% metal, just they're own brand of it. All in all, this album hits me just as hard as Morbid Angel, only in a completely different way. A great record for fans of metal and hardcore alike. This one fucking kills.
