This album blows goats. Big goats with tiny dicks. The riffs are cool, but it's missing something. It's just not Zakk.

I heard the first song and thought that this was going to be a killer album, but I was wrong. The first track is tight and catchy, but the rest of it bored me. His vocals got old really quick. The riffs are good, but he needs a vocalist.

I have been psyched forever to hear this album. When my radio station finally got it I instantly listened to it. All in all this is a good album if you like Zakk's stuff and I always have. It definitely doesn't have the same energy as Stronger than Death but it's still decent. Seems like he's not as angry on this album. It is pretty hard to follow up to Stronger than Death. 1919 Eternal has some strong points and some not so impressive songs. What I found most impressive is that there is not one curse on the album and if you know Zakk's attitude is that he's always swearing. ANYWAYS I have a song by song review so here:
"Bleed for Me" - Ass Kicker!! its a pretty basic riff with a good chorus and sweet solo. the screaming vocals are a good added touch
"Lords of Destruction" - Dark intro with good drumming and awesome guitar background. One of the heaviest songs on the album probably. Heavy ass riff
"Demise of Sanity" - Fast up beat chunker. Good rock n' roll w/ Power. Pre chorus and chorus are bad ass
"Life/Birth/Blood/Doom" - Killer guitar licks in background. Great vocal melody and its dark as hell. It has some sweet bell effects. The solo seems a little fast paced for the song.
"Bridge to Cross" - Personally I think Zakk writes the best ballads. There's a depressive factor in this one which adds to the song.
"Battering Ram" - Another fast one. Cool rolls on the drums. This one has an out of this world solo with fast riffing.
"Speedball" - This is just Zakk going off on an acoustic guitar. We all know how he likes to show off
"Graveyard Disciples" - This has a chunky riff. Good intro into second verse and cool vocals in chorus. All in all its nothing outstanding though.
"Genocide Junkies" - Cool guitar intro buildup. Kinda reminds me of the song "Lowdown" off the first one with the screaming so it's like hes copying himself. There's definitely a Pantera influence here.
"Lost Heavens" - Another ballad. It has some interesting drumming to it. But whats really surprising is that this is the first BLS song I've heard that doesn't have a solo. I didn't know Zakk had it in him.
"Refuse to Bow Down" - Some spoken word about women during the beginning. This is a pretty killer song. It's got some nice drumming during the chorus,
"Mass Murder Machine" - This has Zakk actually "singing" instead of the raspy ass screaming. He really likes doing the whole "OOOhhh" thing. This is a pretty standard lazy southern rock song. Nothing too impressive.
"Berserkers" - This has a dark bad ass riff. Very sabbathy sounding. It's pretty cool but has some weird singing.
"America the Beautiful" - Yeah I don't think this was needed but whatever.

So there ya go. The song titles sound like it's another violent record but it's a lot more southern influenced and kind of lazy.
