This album sucks! Chris's voice is great but it is so distinct, it really doesn't fit over most of these "songs", if you can call them songs. Most of them sound like RATM leftovers and Chris happened to be in the room singing over them. I was very disappointed! I really wanted to love this album but alas it wasn't meant to be. And didn't Chris leave before finishing this album? Sounds to me like they rushed through the sessions just to get it out. Maybe next time, guys...

I just read the reviews by the people at Metal Judgment of the new CD Audioslave. The first thing I gathered was these guys are into mathematical music (music with twelve thirteen-time signatures) with bad opera singing or even worse, Cookie Monster vocals. Nightmare records sent Metal Judgment a copy of my band Torok's new CD Binge & Purge for review about a month ago. Binge & Purge is musically along the same lines as Audioslave. Hopefully the writers will take it easy on us.Getting back to reviewing Audioslave's new CD. Being a fan of this style of music I would say this is the best hard rock CD I've heard since Badlands in 1989. Cool Guitar riffs, simple and grooving and the rhythm section is right in the pocket, while Chris Cornel is the ballsiest singer since Ray Gillen (RIP).
